| Corporate Profile: Target Market | ||||||||||
|
Over $242 Billion is spent per year in hospital costs, medical professional services and drug costs to treat cardiovascular disease, and $151 Billion of lost productivity results from morbidity and mortality, totaling $393 Billion related to cardiovascular disease in the United States.² Through marketing efforts, CVBT intends to target potential patients, physicians involved in the delivery of cardiovascular medical services, hospitals and third party payers of medical services. We also expect to register FGF-1141 for sale in other countries after meeting their individual requirements for approval. If FGF-1141 receives FDA approval for the treatment of “no option heart patients,” we will focus on marketing this drug for use in cardiovascular disease. However, we will continue our efforts to pursue other applications as well. Many medical conditions characterized by the lack of arterial blood supply—such as wound healing disorders, lower extremity peripheral artery disease (PAD) and stroke—could be amenable to this therapy.
